Harifin description. Finasteride that is a specific inhibitor of 5a-reductase. Harifin is the enzyme responsible for converting testosterone into DHT (dihydrotestosterone). Harifin can efficiently reduce the serum concentration of DHT, therefore Harifin minimizes the unwanted androgenic effects that result from its presence. Propecia is the same drug but the tablet contains only 115 of the Harifin dosage. Scientists have long believed that DHT was the main culprit in many cases of male hair loss (along with genetic factors), so there was little doubt after the release of Harifin that Finasteride would eventually be used for this purpose.
Harifin dosage. There is no research to site on exactly what dosage would be the most appropriate for a steroid user. Logic woul dictate that the typically prescribed amount of Harifin / Propecia, a single 1mg tablet per day, would most likely be sufficient. In clinical trials the effect of just a single tablet is clearly dramatic.
Harifin side effects. By minimizing the production of DHT, we should greatly reduce many of these harsh side effects and make our testosterone cycles more comfortable. In many instances, Harifin/Propecia can allow the athlete the use of steroid compounds (testosterone esters such as cypionate, enanthate, Sustanon etc.), Halotestin and methyltestosterone with much less androgenic side activity.
Harifin-5 is Generic Finasteride/Propecia, manufactured by TO Chemicals, Harifin contains the same amount of drug (5mg) as Proscar by MSD but much cheaper. Harifin is a remedy for baldness in men with mild to moderate hair loss on the top of the head and the front of the mid-scalp area. It increases hair growth, improves hair regrowth, and slows down hair loss. Finasteride works only on scalp hair and does not affect hair on other parts of the body.
You may begin to see improvement as early as 3 months after you begin taking Propecia, but for many men it takes longer. The improvement lasts only as long as you take the drug; if you stop, new hair growth will cease and hair loss will resume.
Finasteride, Propecia is a specific type II 5-alpha reductase inhibitor. That is, it inhibits the enzyme responsible for regulating conversion of testosterone to dihydrotestosterone (DHT). By reducing DHT levels in the scalp, Finasteride decreases DHT's effects on the hair follicles, reversing the process of hair loss. Finasteride decreases DHT concentrations in the serum and the scalp by up to 70% and 60%, respectively.
Dosage for adult men: The recommended Finasteride/Propecia dosage, for men only, is 1 mg daily. For maximum benefit, take Finasteride regularly once a day of aprox 1mg(break down 5mg tab to make 4 or 5 doses). It can be taken with or without food.

If you miss a dose, take it as soon as you remember. If it is almost time for your next dose, skip the one you missed and go back to your regular schedule. Do not take 2 doses at the same time.
